dja_presspic_2011After launching in 1997 with “Mutants of Sound” DJ? ACUCRACK became a favorite in the underground electronic circuit, securing great reviews and support from CMJ and touring with such artists as Curve, Cubanate and Lords of Acid. Their 2000 follow-up “Sorted” featured the cult-fave So To Speak with Curve’s Toni Halliday, which spawned an award-winning video, one of the first music videos ever to be filmed with HDTV cameras. Several video game soundtrack slots followed (Mech Assault, Amped, Tiger Woods XBOX Golf, Project Gotham Racing 2). Their ultimate balance of jungle, breakbeat, techno and ambient was realized with 2002 release, “The Dope King.”
In 2004, ACUCRACK supported KMFDM on their 20th Anniversary Tour. In August 2005, they released a new album, “Killing Mobius”, and a live DVD.
In 2006, they toured with Front Line Assembly for their Artificial Soldier tour.

In 2007 they released “Humanoids From the Deep” and toured the country in
two phases with alter-egos Acumen Nation. Over the course of their career, ACUCRACK has performed with several electronic music luminaries, opening for the likes of Dieselboy, Goldie, Ed Rush and Optical, The Roots, Hive, Bad Company, C-tek, Photek, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and more.

Their unique blend of dark drum n’ bass, breakbeat, and techno delivered via a Live PA performance complete with vocals and visuals is a complex audio assault and an interactive treat for the audience.

2011 finds ACUCRACK back on tour with Frontline Assembly on their Improvised Electronic Device North American tour, and preparing their first new album in 4 years for release later in the year. Recent placements on HBO’s “True Blood” and two videogame scores for Vogster Entertainment (“Unbound Saga” and “Crimecraft: Bleedout) have kept ACUCRACK busy since their last release.
